Coloring order
- Start with Coco the artist bunny's knee-length apron. A light, linen-like beige works well.
- Color the tilted beret red, then give each paint splatter on the apron its own color, such as red, blue and green.
- Fill the round paint wells on the wooden palette in her left paw in rainbow order, then color the brush tip in her right paw last.
Questions to talk about
- What do you think Coco is about to paint?
- How did those paint splatters end up on her apron?
- Which color do you like best of all?
Take it further
Squeeze a few paint colors onto a paper plate to make a palette like Coco's, then mix two colors and brush on the new color you get.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
