Coloring order
- Color Benny's plump body and face brown first, and set apart the belly and mouth area in a lighter brown.

- Finish the rolled-up blueprint in light blue and the ruler resting on it in yellow or light brown.
Questions to talk about
- What kind of building might be drawn on Benny's plans?
- What is the architect beaver in the hard hat building right now?
- Have you built something with blocks or sand? What did you make?
Take it further
Use a ruler to draw plans for a house you'd like to build, then stack blocks or paper boxes to make it real.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
