Coloring order
- Color the dense spikes on Henry's back in two alternating browns, following their direction, and the face and hands in light tan.
- Alternate orange and white on the striped shirt, paint the overalls blue, and the boots brown.
- Do the sunflower in yellow petals, a brown center and green leaves, and leave the flowerpot and watering can for last.
Questions to talk about
- What happens to the sunflower when Henry tips the watering can?
- Besides the sunflower, what else might grow in Henry's garden?
- Have you ever watered a plant? What kind was it?
Take it further
Plant a seed in a small pot or paper cup, water it daily, and draw how it changes. Seeds should never go in the mouth.
