Coloring order
- Color Floraclaw's long neck and belly in pale cream, then fill the petal-like feathers on the body in one soft pink.
- On the tail and wings, take turns between deep pink and light pink so the feathers look like overlapping petals.
- Last, color the long, slender claws on the right and the small beak in pale gray or ivory.
Questions to talk about
- What do you think Floraclaw's long claws are for in a garden?
- The feathers look like petals. Which flower do they remind you of?
- Have you ever looked after a plant or flowers? What did you do?
Take it further
Cut pink and pale pink paper into petal shapes, layer them into a flower, and draw Floraclaw in the middle to make a garden card.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
