Coloring order
- Color the big round tomato red, smooth and even, then add a deeper red around the face.
- The star-shaped green stem, big sparkling eyes, wide smile and cheeks get green, dark brown and pink.
- Finally color the jars on the shelves, the window and the checkered cloth in light colors to build the kitchen.
Questions to talk about
- The tomato is grinning widely. What good thing happened today?
- What might be inside the jars on the shelves?
- How do you feel when you see red? What red things come to mind?
Take it further
Cut a red circle, add a green star-shaped stem and make face cards: happy, surprised and sleepy. Take turns guessing each other's feelings.
