Free Printable Korean Handwriting Worksheets: Hangul Consonants, Vowels and Picture Words

1. Which worksheets are there

• Consonants: the 14 basic Hangul consonants from ㄱ to ㅎ
• Vowels: the 10 basic vowels from ㅏ to ㅣ
• Picture words: themed sets such as pets and farm, zoo and savanna, forest and garden, ocean and polar, and everyday objects (62 picture words)

2. How a row works

A dark model comes first, then four faint copies to trace, then a blank box to write alone, moving gently from tracing to independent writing.

Picture word rows show a picture so children know what they are writing, and the line-art pictures can be colored afterwards.

3. How to print

• Open a set, such as Korean Consonant Tracing.
• Under "Printable worksheet", press "Print worksheet".
• Choose A4 or Letter in portrait. Only the worksheet prints, without the site menu.
• To keep a PDF, change the printer to "Save as PDF".

4. Ready-made worksheets

The animal picture word sets offer ten ready-made worksheets, such as pets, zoo, ocean and polar animals. Korean names are traced syllable by syllable twice, English names letter by letter once, each followed by blank boxes. They download as A4-size PNG files ready to print.

5. Mix screen and paper

Start on a tablet or computer with numbered dots and arrows, then write the same letters on paper. The screen gives instant feedback on every stroke; paper builds pencil control.

6. How much at a time

For young children, three or four letters or two or three words at a time is plenty. Short, frequent practice beats filling a whole page.
