Handwriting Practice on a Tablet or Computer, Plus Printable Worksheets

Updated 2026-10-26

1. Tips for each device

  • Stylus: the closest feel to paper. Once you start with a stylus, a palm resting on the screen will not draw.
  • Finger: young children can write big with one finger. A thicker "Pen size" makes tracing easier.
  • Mouse: hold the button and drag. Lift at the end of each stroke and start the next one at its number. A mouse moves differently from a pencil, so use it mainly to learn the order.

2. Open it big; turn tablets sideways

The practice screen opens large in a new tab without the site menu. On a tablet, landscape gives wider squares, and laying the tablet flat on a desk is closer to writing on paper. Switch between English and Korean, or between sets, at the top of the screen.

3. What the feedback means

For letters, every stroke is checked: a correct stroke stays green; if the direction or shape is off, that stroke is shown again. For words, press "Check" when finished to earn one to three stars depending on how well the faint letters are covered.

Stars are kept only in this browser, and the writing itself is never sent anywhere.

4. Carry it over to paper

  • "Print worksheet" at the bottom of each set page prints A4 or Letter rows with one dark model, four faint copies and a blank box.
  • Picture word worksheets use line-art pictures, so children can color the picture after writing.
  • The animal sets also offer ready-made A4 worksheets that trace each name in Korean and English.

5. A simple classroom routine

  • Watch the "Show me" animation together on a board or TV.
  • Children trace the strokes in the air with a finger.
  • With a few tablets, children take turns on screen while the rest use printed sheets.
  • Finish by choosing one picture word, writing its name and coloring the picture.

6. Use names and class words

Under the practice area, "Practice my own word" lets you add a child’s name or this week’s topic word, with a photo or drawing from the device. Added pictures stay on that device and are never uploaded.

Note

Keep screen time short and in line with your home or school rules. If you are concerned about pencil grip or hand strength, talk to a teacher or specialist rather than relying on screen results.
