Coloring order

  1. Color Onikage's muscular face, arms and bare feet in red, leaving the inner arms a little lighter.
  2. Use deep navy and black for the thick mane and beard, and pale ivory for the two horns on its head.
  3. Last, split up the navy trousers, the front collar, the rope sash and the metal wrist bands in purple, cream and gold.

Questions to talk about

  • Onikage has its hands pressed together. What pose is it striking?
  • What kind of story would make even a scary-looking face smile?
  • If you became very strong, whom would you like to help?

Take it further

Stand in front of a mirror with your feet wide like Onikage and strike a strong pose, then switch to a gentle face and play a movement game.

Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
