Coloring order
- Color Sprout's lime-green body and yellow wings first, then continue the long yellow bar mounted under the wing in the same color.
- Dab the small nozzles lined up under the wing in blue, and color the propeller in front and the orange wheels so they stand apart.
- Alternate brown soil and green crop rows, one row at a time, in the field below, and save the sky and clouds for last.
Questions to talk about
- What do you think Sprout is sprinkling over the field?
- What plants might be growing in those green rows? What will they grow?
- Have you ever watered a plant? How much did it grow?
Take it further
Fill a small cup with soil and plant a bean or seed with a grown-up. Water it and draw how it changes over a few days.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
