Coloring order
- Leave Mercy's white body empty, and start with the red heart on its side so it's the first thing you notice.
- Color the long rotor blades, the tail stripe and the landing skids teal, and the round windows sky blue.
- Use gray for the circle on the landing pad with the white line left blank, and finish with the distant meadow and clouds.
Questions to talk about
- What kind of place is the round spot where Mercy is landing?
- What do you think when you see the heart on Mercy's side?
- Where do you feel the coziest?
Take it further
Tape a round landing pad on the floor and play soft landing, setting a paper helicopter down gently instead of throwing it.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
