Coloring order
- Start with the pale blue and pink skirt and sleeves of the figure skater, leaving the sparkly dots white.

- Color the leg stretched far behind and the white skate blade on the ice for last.
Questions to talk about
- Where does a skater put her strength to hold her balance on one foot?
- There seem to be two faces in this picture. What story might be hiding here?
- When your favorite music plays, what dance move do you want to try?
Take it further
Play music, spread your arms, lift one leg behind you and count how many seconds you can hold the balance with a friend. Check the floor is not slippery.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
