Coloring order

  1. Begin with the long curving deck of Incheon Bridge and the piers beneath it, using light gray.
  2. Color the two tall pointed towers white and gray, and darken the shaded side of the thick tower legs that hold up the bridge.
  3. Finish by ruling the slanted cables that run down from the towers in blue, one at a time. Go slowly near the top where they meet the tower.

Questions to talk about

  • Where might the cars crossing this bridge be heading?
  • What would happen to the bridge without its cables?
  • What is the longest bridge you have ever crossed?

Take it further

Incheon Bridge is a long bridge that crosses the sea at Incheon. Lay a strip of thick paper between two chairs as a bridge, hang yarn from it like cables, and test whether a small toy car can drive across.

Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
