Step-by-Step Handwriting: Korean and English
Learn to write Korean (Hangul) and English in short levels, one step at a time. Each level is written three ways (trace, copy and dictation), and every stroke is checked as you write. Every stage is open to everyone, and you can try up to 10 levels in each course right away; sign up and log in to keep going.
How it works
- TraceWrite over the faint letters, following the numbers and arrows. The screen tells you which part of the letter you are writing.
- CopyLook at the model and write in the empty space. Only the stroke you miss is shown again, and help costs a star.
- DictationListen and write. The model appears when you finish. The final dictation stage uses this mode only.
Trace every item with an average of two stars to pass a level; get two stars on every item in Copy or Dictation to master it. Members’ stars and progress are saved to the account and can be continued on any device.
Questions
Do I need an account?
Every level is open to everyone, and you can try up to 10 levels in each course right away. To keep going, sign up and log in; your stars and progress are saved to your account. Progress from before you log in moves to your account, and levels you have tried stay open.
Do I have to go in order?
Stage 1 is the suggested start, but you can open any level.
How is my writing checked?
Each stroke is compared with the model stroke for its start, direction and shape: Hangul by the size of each part of the syllable, English by the four lines.
Is there a paper version?
Letter and word sets on the handwriting pages print as A4 worksheets.
