Coloring order
- Start with Toby the firefighter bunny's long turnout coat and trousers. A deep navy, as in the color reference, fills them in well.
- Color the helmet with both ears sticking up in bright yellow, then alternate lime and gray on the reflective stripes across the sleeves, coat hem and trousers.
- Finish with the nozzle and its handle held in both paws, and the hose that curls around behind his body.
Questions to talk about
- Where do you think Toby is heading with his nozzle?
- Why might shiny stripes on a firefighter's coat be useful?
- Have you ever seen a fire station or fire truck near you?
Take it further
Hold up your colored Toby and practice a fire escape together: stay low, cover your nose and mouth, and head outside.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
