Coloring order
- Leave the snowy peaks and the snowbanks by the road white, and lightly shade only the shadowy parts in lilac and sky blue for a winter-night feel.
- Color the body of the flying roadster concept silver gray and the thick jet columns under its wheels bright blue, then make the round moon at the top right yellow.
- Finish with the two waterfalls on either side, the chalet on the cliff, the fir trees and the stone wall along the road.
Questions to talk about
- What would the people in the chalet say if they saw this car out the window?
- On a snowy night, would it be warm inside a flying car?
- What game do you most want to play on a day with lots of snow?
Take it further
Draw snowy mountains and a moon with a white crayon on black paper, then cut a flying car out of foil and glue it on to finish a winter-night picture.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
