Coloring order
- Color Auroracrest's body and strong back legs, blending green into teal, and save the vertical stripes for purple.
- The long crest curving back from the head can fade from pale purple to pink, like an aurora, one stripe at a time.
- Finish with the flat, duck-like beak, the arms held at the chest and the tail stripes, starting from the smallest spaces.
Questions to talk about

- If Auroracrest sang a song, what would it sound like?
- Have you ever seen a rainbow? Which color was your favorite?
Take it further
Roll a sheet of paper into a tube and hum through it like Auroracrest. Try a high sound, then a low one, and compare how they feel.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
