Coloring order

Start with the sky between the clouds in sky blue and the sun at the top right in yellow. Keep the layered clouds mostly white with light lavender shading. The clouds are large, so the background can be its own session.
Color Aerosail's body and belly cream, and alternate soft gold and orange feather by feather on the big wings and long flowing tail. Doing the wings and tail one at a time keeps it manageable.
Make the horns and spikes on the head gold and the claws brown. Color the grass and trees on the two floating islands green, the rock beneath gray, the waterfalls light blue, and the stone arch ruins warm gray.

Take it further

Make a floating island from a paper plate or card, draw grass and trees on it, hang it on a string and watch it sway in a breeze.
