Coloring order

  1. Color the stone pot dark gray first, make the egg yolk in the middle yellow and leave the white of the egg white.
  2. Give every vegetable in the pot its own color: carrot orange, spinach deep green, bean sprouts pale yellow and mushrooms brown.
  3. Color the spoon, chopsticks and wooden board, then shade the diners and shelves in the background lightly so the bowl stands out.

Questions to talk about

  • How many different vegetables can you find in the bibimbap?
  • What do you think it tastes like when everything is mixed together?
  • If each friend added one vegetable, what would you add?

Take it further

Cut colored paper into vegetable shapes and arrange them in a circle in a paper bowl to make a rainbow bibimbap.

Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
