Coloring order

  1. Start with Nari placing a ball on the wooden ramp, the long ramp and the seesaw base. A light brown suits the wood.
  2. Give the blue, yellow and red domino blocks after the seesaw, the rope on the pulley and the bell each a different color.
  3. Last, color the ball, Toto, the sparkly sound lines, the grass and trees behind and the building.

Questions to talk about

  • After the ball rolls, which part do you think moves next?
  • What faces will Nari and Toto make when the bell finally rings?
  • Have you ever lined up dominoes and knocked them down?

Take it further

Think about a chain-reaction machine and plan a three-step chain with a book, a pencil and a ball, with a grown-up. First draw the order as pictures on paper.

Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
