Coloring order

- Color the little rocket zooming at the top right red, white and blue. Finish with yellow stars at the end.
Questions to talk about
- A rocket is zooming past Mars. Where do you think it is headed?
- What might you see if you walked into the long canyon across its middle?
- What comes to mind when you think of red? Do you have a favorite red thing?
Take it further
Roll red, orange and brown clay into a ball to make Mars, press gentle dents with your fingertip for craters, and draw a long canyon line.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
