Coloring order
- Start with skier Roha's winter jacket and pants in teal, purple and orange, giving each panel its own color.
- Take the red helmet, the black goggles, the yellow gloves and the ski poles in both hands one at a time.
- Alternate purple and orange in the zigzag pattern on the two skis, and leave the spray of snow white.
Questions to talk about
- How far down the snowy mountain will Roha ski?
- What would be uncomfortable without goggles and a helmet?
- Tell me about a snowy day when you played outside.
Take it further
Draw a snowy hill with a white crayon on white paper, then wash over it with pale paint. When the hidden picture appears, draw Roha's path.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
