Coloring order

Start with Eko's big collection bin on the side in light green, then the three-arrow recycling mark on it in a deeper green.
Continue with the dark green cab, the big eyes, the smile and the white bumper below, one section after another.
Last, paint the small light on top of the cab yellow and the big wheels dark gray.

Questions to talk about

What do the three arrows painted on Eko's side mean to you?
What kinds of things did Eko collect today?
What do you and your family sort and keep apart at home?

Take it further

Label two boxes paper and plastic, then sort clean scraps of paper and wrapping into the right box in a pretend recycling game.

Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.

Printing and coloring tips

Print on A4 or Letter in portrait to keep the original proportions.
Keep the finished version open beside you while you color.
Use slightly heavier paper with water-based markers so the ink shows through less.
Fill the large areas first and leave the small ones for later.
The finished version is only a suggestion. Any colors you like will work.
