Activity guide for this page
- Recommended age
- Ages 6–9
- Estimated time
- 25–35 min
- Difficulty
- Medium
- Areas to color
- about 130
Coloring order
- Color the red short-sleeved top and shorts first as the big areas, then the yellow trim along their edges.
- Give the hand gripping the paddle, the red face of the paddle and the tiny ball floating at upper left each a different color.
- Finish with the outstretched arms and legs and the red-and-white sneakers, then the goggles on her head.
Questions to talk about
- A ball is coming from the upper left. How will Nari hit it back?
- How do you feel when you wear something bright red like this uniform?
- Have you ever bounced or rolled a small ball with your hand?
Take it further
Tape a stick to a paper plate to make a paddle, then bat a light balloon back and forth and count how many hits in a row you can keep going.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
