Coloring order

Start with Jesus standing on the water: His long robe and the cloth draped over His shoulder. Pick a light color so He stands out against the night sea.
Color Peter reaching out from the boat, with his tunic and belt, then the wooden boat's planks, the coiled rope, the mast and the furled sail.
Alternate deep and light blues on the rolling waves, and finish with the crescent moon, stars and clouds in the night sky.

Take it further

Read Matthew 14 together. Lay a blue cloth or paper on the floor as the sea, and act out one person reaching out a hand to welcome a friend across.
