Coloring order
- Begin with Jinwoo's coat that reaches down to his ankles, filling it widely with one charcoal or ink-dark shade.
- Color the scarf around his neck and the cup held in both hands in green and white so they stand apart from the coat.
- Finish with the cloud-like pine clusters at upper left, the jars below and the lantern under the eaves in pale sky blue, leaving white for snow.
Questions to talk about
- What do you think Jinwoo is thinking about before he takes a sip of that warm tea?
- What is the first sound you would want to hear in a hanok yard full of fresh snow?
- Do you remember a winter morning when your breath showed up white in the air?
Take it further
Color with a cup of tea beside you, then write one thing you hope to do this year on the back of the January page and stand it on your desk.
