Activity guide for this page
- Recommended age
- Ages 7–10
- Estimated time
- 40–55 min
- Difficulty
- Medium
- Areas to color
- about 310
Coloring order
- Start with the layered skirt: soft lilac for the overskirt and a gentle silvery white for the skirt underneath.
- Next, color the glass slipper and dark cushion she holds in both hands, her upswept hair, and the tiny flowers on the puffed sleeves.
- Last, paint the pumpkin carriage in orange, then the tall clock tower, the stair railings and the street lamp in calm colors.
Questions to talk about
- What message might the clock tower want to tell Cinderella?
- What sound would glass shoes make on a stone staircase?
- What do you like to wear on a special day? What shape and color is it?
Take it further
Mix up single shoes from around the house, then match each one with its partner, the way Cinderella looks for the slipper's owner.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.

Printing and coloring tips
- Print on A4 or Letter in portrait to keep the original proportions.
- Keep the finished version open beside you while you color.
- Use slightly heavier paper with water-based markers so the ink shows through less.
- Fill the large areas first and leave the small ones for later.
- The finished version is only a suggestion. Any colors you like will work.
