Coloring order
- Begin with the skirt: plum purple for the upper part and a big area of teal below, split into two large shapes.
- Then color the open book in her hands, the wide trumpet sleeves, her long wavy hair and the flower tucked in it.
- Leave the bookshelves, ladder, armchair, teacup and the garden through the big window for last, since the spaces are small.

- Which book in this library would you pull off the shelf first?

Take it further
Draw a favorite book's cover from memory, then compare it with the real one. What did you remember, and what looks different?
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
