Questions to talk about
- Why do you think Nari leans so low as she skates?
- What sounds might you hear gliding across the ice in the Netherlands?
- Have you ever walked carefully across a slippery road or floor?
Take it further
Draw a big oval rink on blue paper with a white crayon, cut out a paper skater and set it gliding around in one direction.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
