Coloring order
- Color Nari's white top and pleated skirt as she leaps into the air, then the navy and red stripes at the skirt's hem, line by line.
- Use different colors for the rim and the strings of the racket she stretches out, and a lime-tinted yellow for the ball at upper right.
- Finish with the white socks and the sneakers with navy and red stripes.
Questions to talk about
- Where is Nari trying to send the ball with her racket swing?
- What sounds might you hear at a tennis court in the United Kingdom?
- Have you ever jumped high to catch or hit something?
Take it further
Bat a balloon up with a paper plate racket and count how many hits in a row you can make. Go slowly and everyone can keep it going.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
