Coloring order
- Begin with the square-tiled plaza and the rippling pool on the right. Use a light sand color for the tiles and two sky blues in turns for the water.
- Color the Cybercab, flat in front and sloping at the back, golden yellow like the reference, leaving the thin light strip on its nose white.
- Last, the flower vines spilling over the curved balconies, the palm fronds, the little waterfall behind the pool and the big five-petaled flowers.
Questions to talk about
- How might people spend their day in this garden-like city?
- Who takes care of the flower vines on the buildings?
- What would you most like to have in your neighborhood in the future?
Take it further
Draw a future neighborhood with plants on every building, like this city. Add a spot where the Cybercab stops and a separate path for walkers.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
