Coloring order
- Start with the big roof that bends like a wave and the white columns that branch like trees. Color the wooden slats under the roof light brown, following their lines.
- Color the loaf-shaped Robovan concept light gray and its wraparound windows deep blue, keeping the seat rows behind the glass a bit lighter.
- Last, the solar panel squares on the roof, the turbines out at sea, the cliffs at right and the feathery grasses and rocks below, small spaces first.
Questions to talk about
- How many people could sit on the seats you see through the windows?
- Waiting at this seaside stop, what would you like to look at?
- Where is a safe place to stand while waiting for a bus or a car?
Take it further
Cut big windows into a box to make a rounded van like the Robovan concept, then glue rows of paper seats inside. Decide who sits where.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
