Coloring order
- Color the hair and robe flowing down around Keenshade's whole body in pale sky blue and light violet, like ripples.
- Use teal for the leaf-shaped pieces floating around the head, and a very pale peach or white for the face and hands.
- Last, alternate sky blue and light green for the sleeve ends of the outspread arms and the thin strands drifting below.
Questions to talk about
- In which direction is the wind blowing Keenshade's long hair?
- What sound might this flowing robe make as it moves?
- Has the wind ever blown your hair or clothes around? How did it feel?
Take it further
Hold a thin scarf or long paper strips in both hands, make wind sounds and dance softly like Keenshade's flowing robe.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
