Coloring order
- Color Puffy's face and body a soft lavender first, and the belly a light pink. A sleepy face looks lovely in gentle shades.
- Give the fluffy cloud scarf and the cloud wings a pale, almost-white blue, and color the two curly horns purple or brown.
- Finish with the puff at the tail tip, the closed eyes and the tiny smile, and follow each horn's swirl with two alternating colors.
Questions to talk about
- Puffy has its eyes closed. What might it be dreaming about?
- What do Puffy's scarf and wings remind you of?
- Have you ever fallen asleep hugging a soft blanket or toy?
Take it further
Roll cotton or tissue into soft puffs and glue them on paper as Puffy's cloud tail, then make up a goodnight phrase to say to it.
Age and time are rough guides for a child coloring alone with pencils or crayons; every child is different. The area count is an estimate counted from the line-art image.
