Ways to use this collection
Triverda the Triceratops, Solaspina the Stegosaurus, Crystadon the Ankylosaurus, Meteodome the Pachycephalosaurus, Frostcrown the Styracosaurus and Brookhorn the Protoceratops are six original characters with horns, plates and armored bodies. Each comes as a color reference and a line drawing, and Brookhorn is the easy page for younger children.
Activity ideas
- Explain what the tri- in Triceratops points to, then count the horns on the page together, and ask how many horns the Styracosaurus might have before looking.
- On Solaspina's back, give each plate its own pattern, then let everyone share a guess about what those plates might have been for.
- Ask how horns and armor might protect the body, draw one extra defense on the dinosaur, and invent a name for your own armored dinosaur.
Tip Many pages have tight scale patterns and suit ages 6 and up, while Protoceratops Brookhorn, marked as an easy page, is a good first pick for ages 3 to 4.
