Feathered Dinosaur Coloring Pages
14 printable coloring pages of original feathered dinosaurs, each with its own name and species and drawn to keep the real animal's silhouette. Every dinosaur comes as a pair: a color reference and black-and-white line art to print. Follow the palette or pick your own.

Ways to use this collection
Lunaptor the Velociraptor, Floraclaw the Therizinosaurus, Nestara the Oviraptor, Duskglide the Microraptor, Dawnquill the Archaeopteryx and Riverdash the Gallimimus are among seven feathered original characters. Feather texture and wing patterns are the main attraction, and Riverdash is an easy page.
Activity ideas
- For feather texture, draw short slanted strokes in one direction, overlapping them closely. Try it on one wing and compare it with the rest.
- Place a bird photo from a field guide or picture book beside Dawnquill the Archaeopteryx and find three things that look alike and three that differ.
- Print Duskglide small and Floraclaw large, imagine how different their bodies might be, then compare that with their real sizes in a picture book.
Tip The tight feather texture takes time, so children 6 and up can split one dinosaur over two sittings, and beginners can start with the easy Gallimimus page.
