Ways to use this collection
Gryphara the griffin, Pyraxis the flame-feathered phoenix, Krakalon the octopus-shaped kraken, Leviathor the serpentine leviathan and Rocara the giant roc make up this sky and sea legends set. The sky creatures offer feathers to color, while the sea creatures bring suckers and fins.
Activity ideas
- Shade Pyraxis's feathers from red through orange to yellow, and give each of the kraken's arms a slightly different blue or teal.
- Glue the three sky creatures to the top of a blue sheet and the two sea creatures to the bottom, then draw clouds and waves between them for a sky-and-sea legend map.
- Imagine how huge Rocara is, draw a tiny person beside it for scale, and line up all five creatures from the one you think is biggest.
Tip Feathers and suckers mean lots of small spaces and 20 to 40 minutes per page, so color wings one day and body the next to keep it relaxed.
