Baby Dragon Coloring Pages
20 coloring pages of ten baby dragons: fire, water, sprout, sunshine, ice, starlight, berry blossom, cloud, chocolate and rainbow gem. Round bodies, bold closed outlines and large areas let seven-year-olds color inside the lines. Each dragon comes as a pair: a color reference and black-and-white line art to print.
20 pages Open a title to see the finished version and the line art side by side.
Ways to use this collection
A collection of baby dragons whose horns and tail tips all look different: Sparky with a flame, Bubbly with a bubble, Leafy with sprouts and Frosty with a snowflake, plus Berry, a sleepy cloud-scarfed Puffy and rainbow-winged Gemmy. Thick closed outlines and big shapes make it easy to stay inside the lines.
Activity ideas
- Compare the tail tips, which hold a flame, a bubble, a clover, a snowflake and a star, then ask each child to decide what their own baby dragon's tail tip should hold and draw it.
- Pick two favorite baby dragons, say how they are alike and different, and make up a one-line story about the moment they first meet.
- Make one part of a dragon, a wing, a horn or a tail, from torn colored paper and glue it onto the page for a 3-D baby dragon. Tearing by hand keeps it safe.
Tip Pages with few shapes like Leafy, Frosty and Sparky suit ages four and five for 10 to 15 minutes, while Gemmy and Berry have more, so give six- and seven-year-olds about twenty.
